Internationally acclaimed Joanna Lumley, star of the worldwide hit cult comedy series Absolutely Fabulous, and the feature film Cold Comfort Farm, stars as television's favourite physician in the hilarious half-hour comedy series from the creators of The New Statesman and Shine on Harvey Moon, and the director of A Fish Called Wanda - Dr. Willoughby. On-screen she's the smart, saintly and compassionate surgeon "Dr. Willoughby" in the daytime drama of the same name. But behind - the scenes, aging actress Donna Sinclair (Lumley) is actually an egomaniac who will do absolutely anything to get her way.....no matter who's standing in it!

Once the cameras stop rolling. Donna rolls over her fearful co-stars Ralph (Brian Protheroe) and Crystal (Paula Bacon), while her pained producer, Emma (Isobel Middleton), dreams of leaving for another show..any other show!

While the show's effervescent production executive spends his days on the golf course, the series' writers desperately deal with Donna's terrible temper. But does anyone realise the studio cleaning lady, Mrs. Ajax has become way too involved with the fictional world of TV's "Dr.Willoughby?"
