With a new house, a new job, and a new baby, Trevor Beasley should have everything to look forward to. Instead, he persists in reminiscing about the "good old days" -- to everyone else’s annoyance.
Trevor has moved down to the Home Counties with his wife, Carol to take a new teaching position. He meets an old friend, Brian (played by Tim Healy), and together they reminisce about the Sixties -- only to find that they have very different recollections of what happened.
Carol is now stuck at home, having had a baby late in life. Trevor has regular conversations with the baby who is seven months old when the series begins. The prestigious cast includes noted Shakespearean actor Richard Griffiths as Trevor and Frances de la Tour as Carol.
