Carson Black joins leading International Independent>
LONDON, UK, 1 March 2005 – DLT Entertainment
is further strengthening its position as a leading independent producer in the
UK with the appointment of Carson Black as a Drama development producer.
In this newly created position, Black will
meet with agents and writers to identify new projects to develop and ultimately
produce for DLT. Reporting directly to DLT’s Vice President Don Taffner Jr and
Director of Comedy & Drama John Bartlett, he will also adapt projects
originally developed outside the UK for the UK market allowing DLT to duplicate
the success it is enjoying with My
Family .
Black has worked
with a number of the UK’s leading broadcasters and Independents including
Granada Television, Talkback Thames, BBC ONE, ITV1 and Hewland International.
Best known as Series Producer for the first 500 episodes of BBC ONE’s multiple
award-winning show Doctors,
Carson’s other credits include stints as Series Producer on The Bill for ITV1, BBC ONE’s drama
series The Afternoon Play
and Dream Team for Sky One
when he also served as co-writer.
