Richard Wilson (One Foot In The Grave) and Jack Sheperd star as two British bankers caught up in the dog-eat-dog world of international finance in this new comedy series produced for England’s ITV network.

Nicholas Quinn (Sheperd) and Bruce Morton (Wilson) are facing up to the challenge of global capitalism by fighting among themselves.

Bruce has "risen through the ranks" to become the Managing Director of an investment bank. He's a good manager who is well respected in banking circles.

Nicholas has spent most of his working life in the Civil Service. He has now left his Treasury job to become the new Chairman of the bank.

Nicholas regards Bruce as a challenge to be dealt with by employing his considerable interpersonal skills. Bruce regards as a challenge to his sanity.

High stakes also features Jason O’Mara as Greg, a young high-flier caught in the middle.
