A light-hearted peek behind the scenes of British politics. Although the Establishment make it clear that Parliament is no place for a lady, Jean Price, a left-wing Member of Parliament, rises to the challenge in her own inimitable style.
Jean, a newly-elected opposition MP, arrives for her first week in the Commons, unsure of quite what to expect. But whatever she expected, it wasn’t this -- the facilities are terrible and the conditions of work are even worse. A few changes might bring more women into Parliament, if Jean gets her way. A lot of the "old guard" in government refuse to rock the boat of a system in which they’ve grown very comfortable over the years, but they cannot ignore their new colleague’s controversial impact.
