DLT Entertainment Joins Forces With Grand Scheme Media To Develop New Entertainment Formats

LONDON 14th December 2018: DLT, the award-winning production and distribution company, have today announced that it has entered into an agreement with consultancy agency Grand Scheme Media to develop new entertainment TV formats in the UK.

Grand Scheme Media, founded by industry veterans Graham Smith and Mark Robson, provides consultation for the television industry, and devises formats, prepares pitches and packages ideas for production. Recent successes that Grand Scheme were involved in include Mr Sloane (Sky Atlantic), I Love Sitcom (BBC One) and Alan Davies – As Yet Untitled (Dave).

Under the terms of the new deal, the two businesses will be able to call on their extensive experience to foster new creative developments to jointly pitch to broadcasters. While developments will primarily focus on non-scripted formats, other programme genres will also be explored. DLT will have exclusive rights to the formats under development during this period, and all resulting commissions will be produced and distributed by DLT.

Grand Scheme Media founders, Graham Smith, a former Executive Producer for the BBC and a Commissioning Executive for Channel 4 and Channel Five, and Mark Robson, a former Executive Producer and development executive for ITV, Endemol, Channel 4, Channel Five, Discovery and Disney, will work closely with DLT President Donald Taffner Jr and the team at DLT’s London offices on developing new projects.

Announcing the deal, Donald Taffner Jr., President of DLT Entertainment, said; “We’re delighted to partner with Graham and Mark to develop new projects.
