DLT has been a leading independent producer in the United States since the 1970s and in the UK since 1985.
DLT created the format business with productions such as Three's Company and Too Close For Comfort based upon the British shows Man About the House and Keep It In the Family to name two.
DLT has had equal success in The UK producing As Time Goes By and My Family, two of the most successful comedies ever run on BBC One.
In 2018, DLT expanded its production base in The United Kingdom with the acquisition of Vera Productions Limited, the first such aquisition byt DLT. Vera is run as a wholey owned subsidiary of DLT Entertainment UK Limited. To learn more about Vera Productions click here.

BBC Radio 4 Picks Up Two Series From DLT
DLT Entertainment continues its expansion into audio programming with two commisions from BBC Radio 4.
The Many Wrongs of Lord Christian Brighty stars TikTok’s answer to Mr Darcy, Christian Brighty, in his first radio sitcom, in which the Regency rake tries to make amends for his past misdeeds.
Award-winning new comedian and former Woman’s Hour producer Lorna Rose Treen, with co-writer Jonathan Oldfield, parodies women's current affairs and talk shows in Time of the Week, alongside a brilliant cast of comedians and actors.
Donald Taffner, Jr. Appointed International Emmy Gala Chairman
In honor of DLT Entertainment's 60th Anniversary, Donald Taffner, Jr. has been appointeded Chariman of this year's International Emmy Awards Gala where the leading television producers from around the world showcase their programming and compete to be recognized at the prestigious International Emmy® Awards with over one thousand international broadcasting, production and distribution executives convene to celebrate the best in global television.
DLT Steps In To Fund Edinburgh Comedy Awards
When the sponsors for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards did not renew causing this year's awards to be in doubt, DLT Entertainment stepped in to fund and unsure another year of this prestigious award.
DLT anticipates that this will be the first of a multi year commitment to ensure the awards continue for years to come.

CBBC's Monster Court Available On iPlayer
Monster Court is aimed at 6 – 12-year-olds and is centred around a monster puppet, the Rt Hon Judge Martin Smudge, who dishes out justice for children who send in their light hearted problems, such as embarrassing parents, boring teachers, bedtimes or being made to do things like eat vegetables or wear shoes. Children apply with their crimes and Judge Smudge delivers justice in the form of a monstrous punishment.

DLT continues its expansion into talent management and live comedy with a significant investment in Manchester based Gag Reflex Limited. As part of the investment, DLT and Gag Reflex will form new regional indie Gag Reflex Productions to be based out of Gag Reflex's offices in Manchester.

Katya Balfour-Lynn Joins DLT as Development Producer

Darren Smith Appointed DLT's Creative Director
Phil Tredinnick joins as Head of Entertainment DevelopmentThey have been tasked with developing new entertainment and comedy formats for domestic and international audiences. Smith will report directly to Donald Taffner Jr., President of DLT Entertainment, with Tredinnick and the current DLT team reporting into Smith.
