Danger UXB
This series celebrates the unsung heroes who defused unexploded bombs during World War Two. Thirteen episodes follow the adventures of one disposal squad – called “UXB,” for “unexploded bomb” - through war-torn London.
Inspired by the memoirs of one of these real-life heroes, the series is the brainchild of John Hawkesworth, award-winning creator of such international television drama successes as Upstairs Downstairs and The Duchess of Duke Street.
With DANGER UXB, Hawkesworth has fashioned a series that is more than a tribute to a brave body of men. It is a social document that vividly evokes the strains and stresses of living -- and loving -- in constant danger.
