Founded in 2013 by comedian Mark Watson and producer Lianne Coop, Impatient Productions is built on the belief that creative ambition shouldn’t be slowed by endless development cycles. The company’s name reflects its ethos: make bold, high-quality work—quickly, passionately, and with purpose.
Over the past five years, Impatient has carved out a distinctive space in the UK comedy landscape, producing a range of critically acclaimed original series for BBC Radio 4. These include multiple series of Mark Watson Talks A Bit About Life, Elephant in the Room with Sarah Millican, Passport Paddy with Zoe Lyons (recorded on location in Ireland), You Can’t Take It With You with Angela Barnes, How to Love Your Fat with Sofie Hagen, The Price of Happiness with Kate Fox, and Coaches —a sitcom pilot starring Sara Pascoe and Paapa Essiedu.
In the podcast space, Impatient has delivered standout productions such as The Andy Field Experience (Radio 1's Kench), Mark Watson’s Comedy Marathon — a 13-part original Audible series featuring over 40 contributors—and WTB with Jen Brister (independently released on Acast). Additional commissions for Audible and Acast are currently in development.
The company is led by Lianne Coop, a veteran of BBC Radio Comedy with over 15 years of production experience, and Mark Watson, a celebrated stand-up and writer who also serves as executive producer and script editor across projects. They are supported by a talented team including producer Siren Turner.
Impatient is driven by a genuine love for its projects—and while it hasn’t yet received a restraining order from a commissioner, it’s not for lack of enthusiasm.

DLT Entertainment Invests in Impatient Productions
Impatient was founded in 2013 by Mark Watson and Lianne Coop, and the name reflects their desire to produce high-quality work without waiting so long that we die before it eventually comes to fruition. Impatient aims to be prolific, creative and adventurous in an industry which calls out for those qualities but we feel frequently fails to find them.
Impatient is passionate about its projects and will go to all possible lengths to make other people passionate about them, but it has never yet received a restraining order from a commissioner.

WTB - Women Talking Bollocks
Jen Brister, Maureen Younger and Allyson June Smith are Women Talking Bollocks. An irreverent magazine show with bracing, anarchic chat from three middle-aged, funny women tackling whatever takes their fancy from the world that week. Don't expect: chat about makeup, diets, and what the bloody Kardashians are doing. They don’t care. Do expect: cultural recommendations and daft tales from Maureen, problem sorting and fervent horror-movie love from Allyson, and TV recommendations and exasperated life ranting from Jen.
Menkind
Michael Chakraverty (Bake Off legend) is gay, brown, and obsessed with girl band Little Mix to a degree that is a bit strange; Mark Watson (scrawny cult comedian) is straight, white, likes football and drinking. The intersection of their worlds provides a space for a series of fascinating discussions with a diverse range of remarkable people.
