While DLT Entertainment Ltd was originally established as an independent production and distribution company, its evolution has mirrored the changing landscape of the entertainment industry. Just as it expanded into live theatre through the acquisition of the Shaftesbury Theatre, DLT has also built a long-standing presence in talent representation.

DLT’s entry into the talent agency space began in the 1980s with a strategic investment in Peters Fraser and Dunlop (PFD), forged through their representation of Man About The House creators Johnnie Mortimer and Brian Cooke—writers of the UK series that inspired Three’s Company. That partnership continued until 2001, when CCS Stellar acquired PFD.

In 2007, DLT became a founding investor in United Agents, with Donald Taffner Jr. serving on the board. When United Agents transitioned to a partnership structure, DLT exited its shareholding, but the experience cemented its role as an active stakeholder in representation.

Today, DLT remains actively engaged in talent representation through stakes in a number of leading agencies spanning the full spectrum of entertainment professionals.

These investments have created powerful synergies, offering opportunities not only for DLT and its partner agencies but—most importantly—for the talent they represent. While DLT maintains investments in a select group of agencies, each firm operates independently, with full autonomy to work with any producer or broadcaster, always prioritizing the interests of their clients.

BBAM's Darren Harriott is Gold Tower Winner

Darren Harriott: Father Figuring takes top prize at the New York Festivals Radio Award

With a complicated family history, a difficult childhood and a lifetime of unanswered questions, comedian Darren Harriott embarks on a raw, thought-provoking and surprisingly funny journey into fatherhood, family and identity.

Darren’s father tragically took his own life in prison when Darren was just 11 years old. Now, at 36, Darren has reached an age his father never did — a milestone that forces him to confront difficult questions about the past, his family, and whether he wants to become a father himself.

As part of the series, Darren speaks with family members, friends, psychologists and other experts to explore fatherhood, generational trauma and the lasting impact of childhood experiences.

At this special live recording, Darren brings those themes to the stage in a stand-up show that is honest, reflective and sharply funny, examining — and poking fun at — the complexities, contradictions and expectations surrounding fatherhood.

BBC Radio Releases DLT's Scott Bennett: Blood Sugar Baby

Available on BBC Radio 4 / BBC Sounds from 6.30PM, November 5, 2025.

Scott Bennett: Blood Sugar Baby tells the amazing true story of Scott and Jemma Bennett’s infant daughter Olivia and her battle with a rare genetic condition, how she was nearly fatally misdiagnosed and how Scott challenged the hospital to improve their care - by taking his dad’s advice to "Put a tie on".

First-time parents Scott and Jemma are taken from the apparently idyllic world of having a new-born baby who sleeps through the night and suddenly plunged into months of misguided treatments, genetics, bizarre side effects and private jets.

Recorded in Scott and Jemma’s home town of Nottingham - where the real-life story began - this is an emotional show about a critically ill baby but it’s also a really funny one with a happy and hopeful ending.
