DLT Entertainment has recently launched its Wales office, led by acclaimed television executive Paul Islwyn Thomas, who joins as Director of Programmes, Wales.

With over 40 years of experience in television, Paul has built an impressive career spanning the BBC and the UK independent sector, producing a wide range of factual programming for both domestic and international broadcasters. His work includes high-profile feature-length documentaries, prime-time formatted series, single documentaries, and specialist factual content. Known for championing creative excellence and nurturing talent both on and off screen, Paul has held senior roles including Head of Arts & Events at BBC Cymru Wales, Managing Director of BAFTA-winning Indus Films, MD of Prospect Pictures Wales, Creative Director at Bulb Films (Boom/Twofour Group), and most recently CEO of Wildflame Productions.

While Paul’s background lies primarily in factual production, DLT’s new Wales division will broaden that scope—developing projects in current affairs, entertainment, and scripted comedy. Under Paul’s leadership, DLT Wales will also benefit from the combined experience of DLT’s wider group of companies, including Vera Productions, Juniper Communications
