DLT Entertainment Expands Sponsorship Of The Edinburgh Comedy Awards to include both Newcomer and Comedy Awards.
As live comedy grows to a whopping 39% of the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Programme, DLT expands its sponsorship to both the DLT Entertainment Newcomer Award as well as The Donald and Eleanor Taffner Comedy Award in honor of DLT's founders.

Time Of The Week: New Character Comedy Series Launches 11pm 6th July on BBC Radio 4
Time Of The Week parodies live women’s current affairs and talk shows and stars BAFTA award winning actress Sian Clifford and is Created by award-winning comedian and former BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour producer Lorna Rose Treen and Jonathan Oldfield.

Comedy Script Showcase Launched For Edinburgh Fringe
DLT ENTERTAINMENT and MONKEY BARREL COMEDY to showcase scripts from emerging writing talent, performed by leading comedians and directed by Ed Bye.

Each day of the Fringe, one of four selected scripts will be brought to life by a cast of top comedians, after a brief warm-up by an MC, with 5-6 performers per show. This will provide creatives with a unique opportunity to gain real-time feedback on their work, as well as giving audiences a rare glimpse behind the TV development curtain, seeing some of the best new scriptwriting in UK comedy before channel commissioners do.

DLT Companies Have 70 shows At This Year's Edinburgh Fringe
DLT Entertainment UK Limited and its affiliated companies Blue Book Artist Management, Gag Reflex Productions, The Soho Agency, Milburn Browning Associates, and Impatient Productions combined are either representing or producing 70 shows at the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

BBC Radio 4 Picks Up Two Series From DLT

The Many Wrongs of Lord Christian Brighty stars TikTok’s answer to Mr Darcy, Christian Brighty, in his first radio sitcom, in which the Regency rake tries to make amends for his past misdeeds.

Award-winning new comedian and former Woman’s Hour producer Lorna Rose Treen, with co-writer Jonathan Oldfield, parodies women's current affairs and talk shows in Time of the Week, alongside a brilliant cast of comedians and actors.

Donald Taffner, Jr. Appointed International Emmy Gala Chairman
In honor of DLT Entertainment's 60th Anniversary, Donald Taffner, Jr. has been appointeded Chairman of this year's International Emmy Awards Gala where the leading television producers from around the world showcase their programming and compete to be recognized at the prestigious International Emmy® Awards with over one thousand international broadcasting, production and distribution executives convene to celebrate the best in global television.

DLT Steps In To Fund 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Awards
When the sponsors for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards did not renew causing this year's awards to be in doubt, DLT Entertainment stepped in to fund and unsure another year of this prestigious award.

DLT anticipates that this will be the first of a multi-year commitment to ensure the awards continue for years to come.

Monster Court is aimed at 6 – 12-year-olds and is centred around a monster puppet, the Rt Hon Judge Martin Smudge, who dishes out justice for children who send in their light hearted problems, such as embarrassing parents, boring teachers, bedtimes or being made to do things like eat vegetables or wear shoes. Children apply with their crimes and Judge Smudge delivers justice in the form of a monstrous punishment.

DLT continues its expansion into talent management and live comedy with a significant investment in Manchester based Gag Reflex Limited. As part of the investment, DLT and Gag Reflex will form new regional indie Gag Reflex Productions to be based out of Gag Reflex's offices in Manchester.

DLT entertainment has joined forces with Impatient Productions, the independent creative production company set up by comedian Mark Watson and ex BBC producer Lianne Coop with a significant investment.
