DLT's Wales office was recently launched by DLT and is lead by Paul Islwyn Thomas who was appointed Director of Programmes, Wales

Over a 40 year television career Paul has worked across a broad and diverse range of factual production for UK and International broadcasters whilst working at the BBC and within the UK indie sector. From high-profile feature length documentaries, through to peak-time formatted series, singles and specialist factual specials, Paul has always championed creative excellence and has nurtured the most exciting talent in front of and behind the camera. Former Head of Arts & Events, BBC Cymru Wales; MD of Bafta winning Indus Films; MD Prospect Pictures Wales: Creative Director, Bulb Films (Boom/Twofour Group) and most recently CEO of Wildflame Productions, Paul is one of the most experienced creative leaders working across factual production in Wales.

While Paul’s background in Welsh productions has been primarily in factual, DLT’s Wales office will expand upon Paul’s experience and develop projects in current affairs, entertainment, and scripted comedy in addition to factual. Under Paul’s stewardship, DLT Wales will be able to call upon the expertise of DLT’s production companies which include Vera Productions, Juniper Communications and DLT Entertainment Ltd and their long track records of successful productions which include Politics London and Politics Southeast, dozens of programs produced for C4’s Dispatches and BBC’s Panaroma, game and panel shows and long-running sitcoms including My Family and As Time Goes By.
