Back for Year 3 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Table Reads is where new comedy scripts get thrown on stage and see if they survive.
No sets. No safety net. Just great performers, a live audience, and your writing.
Every day, some of the funniest people at the Fringe bring fresh scripts to life. Before commissioners get anywhere near them.
Got something brilliant? Reckon it’ll kill? Prove it.
What We Want:
- Comedy scripts up to 30 minutes
- Written by an actual human (no AI shortcuts)
- We cast from performers already at the Fringe (If your cast list looks like a Marvel film, it’s probably not happening)
- Original (and not tied up anywhere else)
- Genuinely funny (this one’s non-negotiable)
How to Get It to Us:
- Got an agent? Make them earn their commission — send it through them to DLT Entertainment.
- Flying solo? No problem. You may submit your script in PDF format via DocuSign using the following link: Submit Script
Why Bother:
- Hear your script performed by top Fringe talent
- See what lands (and what very much doesn’t)
- Get in front of people who can actually do something with it
- Be part of something that’s building — properly
This isn’t a polite reading in a back room. It’s a live show. With laughs. (Hopefully.) It's a chance to hear your work properly performed — and find out what works, what doesn’t, and what absolutely dies.
