Back for Year 3 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Table Reads is where brand new half-hour comedy scripts get put in front of a live audience before commissioners get anywhere near them. No sets. No safety net. Just great performers, a live audience, and a lot of fun.

This Years Scripts

Billie No Mates by Amy Mallws and Cara Rowland
After making the “big move” from Pontypool to Cardiff, a lonely twenty-something finds herself trapped in a co-dependent flatshare with her widowed grandmother and an unlikely community, all navigating their own kind of loneliness.

Cancelled by Jonny King
After an off-the-cuff joke destroys his carefully cultivated TV career, a once-edgy comedian must navigate outrage, social media mobs and a media circus determined to define him. The only thing harder than getting cancelled is finding a way back.

The Last One You'd Expect by Joz Norris
When a murder at a wedding weekend leaves a group of friends stranded on a remote island, an insufferable murder-mystery obsessive appoints himself lead detective. The only problem is he's also the prime suspect.

The Three Bucketeers by Becky Umbers
After a cancer diagnosis, an irrepressible optimist recruits her two best friends to help her complete an increasingly ridiculous bucket list before time runs out.
