DLT Entertainment Retains Christina Thomas As Senior Sales Consultant

LONDON 27th April 2016: DLT Entertainment has retained Christina Thomas as Senior Sales Consultant overseeing the distribution of content to Public Television stations in the US.

Thomas, who will be based in New York, will be charged with licensing DLT’s extensive catalogue of programming to Public Television stations across the US. Titles on offer to the stations include DLT-produced global hits My Family and As Time Goes By Reunion Specials as well as third party content such as Miranda (ITVSGE) and The IT Crowd (FMI). Thomas will report directly to DLT Entertainment President Don Taffner Jr.

DLT Entertainment is uniquely placed as the only distribution company with a dedicated staff selling programs to the over 170 public television licensees as well as a team selling to commercial broadcasters and program services allowing it to market programs in the US in a way that no other company can do.

Announcing the appointment, Don Taffner Jr, said: “Christina first worked with us over 30 years ago and was an integral part of the company’s growth and development. It is great to have her back to spearhead our distribution of finished programming to Public Television stations in the US. I look forward to working closely with Christina as we grow our business and presence in the US market.”

Christina Thomas added: “I am delighted to be joining DLT Entertainment again. It is where I first started my career in the US and learnt about the TV industry. DLT has since produced some iconic and internationally renowned programming which I look forward to representing in the US market.”

Before joining DLT Thomas was CEO of BAFTA New York where she increased the organisation’s profile and grew activity in the US market as well as promoting British Film and TV content internationally. Thomas was also President of Primetime Television Associates, a leading UK independent programme packager and distribution company representing over 150 independent producers and 8,000 hours of programming from the UK, Australia and Canada. Thomas also runs Jigsaw Communications working with TV producers on co-productions.

DLT Entertainment is currently developing a UK version of smash hit Scandinavian drama Nurses following a deal with Swedish distributor Eccho Rights and is currently in production on an innovative new factual entertainment show Dara O’Briain Go 8 Bit for UKTV’s Dave Channel hosted by comedian Dara O’Briain.
